Småbolag

This fund suits those that want to invest in small- and medium-sized companies listed on the Swedish and other Nordic equity markets

All companies start out as small enterprises, where some have the potential to realize strong growth over time. Historically smaller companies have outperformed the overall market. One reason for this is that many smaller companies have had the skills to achieve growth, often through international expansion. Johan Ståhl, the fund’s portfolio manager, elaborates, "As a portfolio manager it is up to us to find these growth opportunities. Take for example ASSA ABLOY that in 1995 had a market capitalization of 1 billion Swedish kronor and that now, in 2015, is valued at over 100 billion Swedish kronor. H&M was also a small company from the start. For this reason a small-cap fund is always a favourable component of a savings portfolio."

Investment Policy

Lannebo Småbolag is an actively managed equity fund that invests in small and medium-sized enterprises in the Nordic region, primarily in Sweden. Investments should have a market capitalization not exceeding 1 per cent of the Swedish stock market's total market capitalization at the time of investment.

Management Style

Focus is placed on each of the fund’s individual investments and their corresponding potential for growth. We strive to avoid being distracted by elements affecting the share price short-term. This leads to investments in quality companies, where we can have a knowledgeable opinion about their future growth potential, and where a company’s valuation is adequately attractive. The goal is that the fund, while taking a balanced approach to risk, should provide a better return than similar funds.

The fund is suitable for those who

• want to invest in small and medium-sized companies listed on the Swedish and other Nordic equity markets
• want an actively managed fund where investments are based on a clear understanding of each individual company

Other

Minimum investment in the fund is 100 Swedish kronor.

At the end of 2015, one per cent of the Swedish stock market's total market capitalization was approximately 58 billion Swedish kronor.
